The Thélyson Orélien Affair: French Press Takes a Stand
A monumental precedent for thinking about the relationship between artificial intelligence and literary creation. French Press announces an op-ed in a major daily newspaper.
French Press has decided to take a stand in what is now known as the Thélyson Orélien affair. It sets a monumental precedent for thinking about the relationship between artificial intelligence and literary creation, the subject at the heart of our summer series, with contributions from Pia Petersen, Laure Gouraige, Olivier Sebban, Patrick Bray, David Rochefort, Bertrand Misonne, Eve Guerra, and Caroline Fourgeaud-Laville, among others.
To develop this position and contribute to the debate on a collective question that also involves an individual’s honor, we have offered an op-ed to a major daily newspaper, which, barring the unexpected, will be published next week. We will share it here when the time comes, inviting a debate that respects people in general and Thélyson Orélien in particular.
