Ève Guerra is a French writer with roots in Congo and Italy. She grew up in the Republic of the Congo, which she had to flee at the age of nine during the civil war that ravaged the country in 1998–1999. Today she teaches Latin, Ancient Greek, and French, writes as a columnist for the literary magazine Lire, and has published a collection of poetry.

Winner of the Prix Goncourt du premier roman and the Prix Transfuge for best French first novel, her novel Rapatriement (Grasset, 2024) tells the story of a family through an investigation that leads from uprooting to grief, from childhood wounds to secrets and lies.
